50-Year Rust Perforation Warranty

Every Metal Pro steel building kit comes with a 50-year rust perforation warranty on all Galvalume Plus™ steel panels and structural components. Your building is built to resist rust and maintain its structural integrity for decades as long as it is properly installed and maintained.

What’s Covered

  • Rust Perforation: Any rust that causes perforation of steel panels or structural members is covered for 50 years from the date of delivery.
  • Manufacturing Defects: All materials are covered against manufacturing defects that exist at the time of delivery.
  • Pre-Engineered Components: The warranty applies to all pre-engineered steel components supplied directly by Metal Pro Buildings.
  • Paint Finish: Galvalume Plus™ panels include a manufacturer’s paint warranty of 40–50 years, depending on the panel type.
  • Other Components (12 Months): Fasteners, trim, hardware, and all other supplied components are covered for 12 months against manufacturer defects.

What’s Not Covered

  • Third-party items not manufactured by Metal Pro Buildings, including doors, windows, and insulation.
  • Improper storage, handling, or installation.
  • Damage caused by site conditions such as poor drainage, inadequate foundations, or standing water.
  • Unauthorized modifications or field alterations, including welding or unapproved openings.
  • Exposure to corrosive chemicals, saltwater or marine environments, fertilizers, or treated lumber beyond normal conditions.
  • Condensation, mold, cosmetic discoloration, chalking, or fading that does not cause perforation.
  • Acts of nature exceeding the building’s engineered design loads, including storms, flooding, and earthquakes.

Owner Responsibilities

To keep your warranty valid, you must:

  • Follow Installation Guidelines: Erect the building according to the engineered drawings and specifications provided.
  • Obtain Permits and Approvals: Local building permits and inspections are the responsibility of the owner or their contractor.
  • Prepare the Site Properly: Adequate foundation, drainage, and site preparation are required.
  • Perform Regular Maintenance: Remove debris, check for standing water, inspect cut edges for white rust, and seal as needed. Annual maintenance is strongly recommended.

How to File a Warranty Claim

  1. Document the Issue: Take clear photos and write a description of the problem, including its location. Claims must be submitted in writing within 30 days of discovering the defect and no later than one year from when it first appears.
  2. Contact Metal Pro Buildings: Call +1 (877) 837-1141 or email hello@metalprobuildings.com with your order details, photos, and written description.
  3. Inspection and Review: Our team will review your claim and may request additional information or an on-site inspection.
  4. Resolution: If approved, Metal Pro will repair or replace defective materials with comparable materials at our discretion. Please note:
    • The customer is responsible for shipping costs on replacement and any returned materials.
    • Labor, removal, reinstallation, equipment, and travel costs are not covered.
    • Total claim value cannot exceed the original purchase price of the building.

Terms and Conditions

  • All sales are final. Each building kit is custom-engineered; orders cannot be canceled or refunded once production has begun.
  • This warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with Broward County as the legal venue. All disputes must be resolved through binding arbitration, and customers agree to a class-action waiver.
  • Metal Pro is not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or government actions.
  • Coverage applies only to buildings located within the United States.
  • This warranty is valid solely for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred to a new owner.
  • Metal Pro’s liability is capped at the original purchase price. We are not liable for incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of use, or business interruption.
  • Metal Pro Building Systems, Inc supplies pre-engineered steel building systems only. Permits, site preparation, and erection are the owner’s responsibility. Warranties are valid only if products are properly stored, handled, and installed.
  • Metal Pro may update this warranty at any time. Changes apply to future purchases; prior purchases remain covered under the version in effect at the time of sale.
